Information the extension collects
The extension does not collect, sell, or share personal information. It does not collect your name, email address, account details, browsing history, search history, page content, passwords, payment information, files, contacts, precise location, analytics, or advertising identifiers.
The extension does not use an account, background tracking, cookies, a tracking pixel, or a user database. It does not store your selections. When it opens, it may request a public, read-only Quick Fix feed from Home Answer Desk; that feed contains only editor-approved article titles, URLs, update times, and short safety text, not visitor data.
Permissions
The current version requests host access to https://homeanswerdesk.com/* solely to fetch that public, read-only Quick Fix feed. It does not read pages on other websites, browsing history, search history, page content, or passwords. When you select a guide, it opens the corresponding public Home Answer Desk URL.
What happens when you open a guide: When you choose Open the full Home Answer Desk guide, Chrome navigates to a public page on homeanswerdesk.com. The website may process ordinary technical information according to the Home Answer Desk Privacy Policy. The extension itself does not receive or store that information.
Advertising and third parties: The extension does not inject advertising, affiliate links, or content into other websites. It does not send extension data to advertisers or other third parties.
Changes: If a future extension version changes what it can access or how it handles information, we will update this page and the Chrome Web Store disclosures before that version is distributed.
